Agile Space Industries opens Bellevue engineering office to hire regional talent
The Durango propulsion company leased about 5,740 square feet and plans a team of 20 to 30 engineers.

Space propulsion company Agile Space Industries has signed a sublease for a new engineering office in Bellevue's Sunset North complex along Interstate 90, GeekWire reported on Thursday.
The nearly 5,740-square-foot space will start with about half a dozen employees and is meant to grow to 20 to 30 engineers in systems, design and propulsion. Chief Technology Officer Jake Mills, formerly of Blue Origin, is leading the Bellevue hub.
Agile, based in Durango, Colorado, builds in-space chemical propulsion for satellites, lunar landers and national security missions. It employs 178 people across Durango, a Pennsylvania additive manufacturing center and a planned test facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The company closed a US$17 million Series A earlier this year. Investors include Caruso Ventures, Howdy Partners, Lockheed Martin Ventures, Veteran Ventures, Denver Ventures and Cortado Ventures.
