Two ships were struck by drones off Bulgaria's coast, Prime Minister Rumen Radev said, Al Jazeera reports. The Ukrainian-owned, Maltese-flagged Chelsea 3 was hit by three drones about 33 kilometres offshore. All 15 crew members were rescued.

Radev said there was no clear evidence of who was responsible but that the outcome benefits Russia, and the Russian ambassador would be summoned. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the attacks.

Last week, drones hit two other ships off the same coast. The 10 crew of the vessel that sank remain unaccounted for.
