Maple Ridge tech CEO Jordan Simmons runs for CentreBC
The co-founder of governance platform Nominee says he brings a small-business perspective.
Maple Ridge resident Jordan Simmons, co-founder and CEO of the technology platform Nominee, is running for CentreBC in Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows in the Oct. 24 provincial election, the Maple Ridge News reported on Sunday.
Nominee offers governments, political organizations and aspiring leaders professional development in governance, public policy and political leadership, Simmons said. He previously worked as a communications advisor to MLAs and as a senior advisor to several B.C. cabinet ministers.
Simmons said he understands the challenges small businesses face. "Looking at the BC NDP record over the last 10 years, the status quo just is not working," he said, adding that the government has not focused on the economy or attracting investment.
He is running with CentreBC Leader Elenore Sturko.
