Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim, seeking re-election with ABC Vancouver, said he is committed to another zero per cent property tax increase next year, in an interview published by the Vancouver Sun on Saturday.

"A zero per cent property tax increase this year. We're committed to a zero per cent property tax increase next year. So, holding the line … and that really goes toward providing certainty for businesses," Sim told interviewer Stuart McNish.

Sim acknowledged "really challenging economic times" from tariffs, along with public safety and affordability concerns, and said he wants a "pro-business, pro-prosperity entrepreneurial mindset" in the city.

The Sun has also published interviews with mayoral candidates Pete Fry, Kareem Allam, Colleen Hardwick and Rebecca Bligh.
