Microsoft has released Microsoft-Decision-1, a decision-scoring model for routing, classification, verification and agent control, MarkTechPost and The Verge reported on Friday.

Rather than generating text, the model reads an input and returns a calibrated probability for each of a fixed set of options in a single call. It is post-trained from Alibaba's Qwen3.5-9B and available in Microsoft Foundry and OpenRouter.

Microsoft says the model had the highest average accuracy, 83.5 per cent, across its 36-benchmark comparison, at 85 milliseconds median latency. Pricing is US$0.042 per million input tokens with free output, according to MarkTechPost, which noted the weights are closed and the benchmarks vendor-run.

The launch came days after OpenAI highlighted its own Decisions API, The Verge noted.
