What the Easyodds comparison model can teach a Canadian sports publisher
Easyodds brings sports content, odds comparisons and bookmaker offers into one information service. Its terms distinguish the website's service from the betting contracts a reader makes directly with an operator. It is a useful model for a publisher that helps people compare information without taking their wagers.
How the model earns
An Income Access interview with Easyodds executive David da Silva describes affiliate marketing, organic search, customer relationship tools and potential franchise partnerships. A 2013 industry interview also discusses Easyodds' mobile affiliate tracking and account generation. These sources support a referral-led publishing model. They do not establish current revenue, individual commission rates, present profitability, or David Gross's personal income.
What ARQS can build in Canada
- Free public tools: league navigation, scores, timestamped source information and odds-format education.
- Research subscriptions: a proposed $9.99 USD monthly product with real licensed data and usable member features before any charge begins.
- Referral or sponsorship agreements: potentially remunerated relationships with eligible operators, disclosed separately from editorial rankings. No such income is configured on the current ARQS pages.
Canada is not one undifferentiated market
Operator eligibility and advertising rules vary by province. Ontario's AGCO holds operators responsible for contracted affiliates and restricts public bonus/inducement advertising. A general directory is not proof that every listed provider may serve a reader's location. A Canadian commercial rollout needs province-specific operator checks and approved agreements; this analysis is not a legal authorization.
Current delivery
ARQS now separates public live scores from SportsDataIO's scrambled trial data. Real sportsbook rankings remain unavailable while bookmaker identities are scrambled. The interest form takes no payment and starts no subscription. The calculator compares the payout of identical markets; it does not predict winners or promise profit.
